MINISTER URGES COLLABORATION TO ENHANCE HEALTH CARE

26 April 2025

The Minister of Health, Hon. Khumbize Chiponda, MP, has called on Malawians and the private sector to work together with the government to improve healthcare access and service delivery. She made these remarks during the official opening of the Lilongwe Family Health Clinic in Area 47, Sector 2, a facility owned by the Mwansambo family.

In her speech, Hon. Chiponda emphasized the importance of collective effort in addressing the increasing healthcare needs of the population. "Private clinics like this one help decongest public facilities and provide our citizens with more options, especially in urban and semi-urban areas where demand is high," she said.

Dr. Adrina Mwansambo, Co-Director of the Lilongwe Family Health Clinic, stated that the clinic will serve people of all age groups, offering dedicated services including a pediatric clinic, laboratory services, and general medical care.

"Our mission is to provide exceptional services to our clients, because their health is our priority," she added.

The opening of the Lilongwe Family Health Clinic is expected to enhance healthcare access for residents in the area, reducing congestion in public facilities and providing citizens with more options for quality healthcare services.
