Malawi Ministry of Health

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH HOSTED HEALTH OFFICIALS FROM SOUTH AFRICA

Health officials from South Africa are in Malawi for a three-day visit to learn more about the Chipatala Cha Pa Foni (CCPF) idea that Malawi has been implementing since 2010.

CCPF is an approach in which the ministry has provided a hotline, enabling people call and talk to qualified health workers and listen to prerecorded messages on different health topics.

Minister of Health, Hon Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, says the visit is a sign of the good work that Malawi is doing and the South African government’s strong desire to achieve more for its people.

She says CCPF has been handy in dealing with emerging health issues including Covid-19, polio and the current cholera outbreak.
