The Minister of Health Honorable Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, MP today joined the World Health Organisation (WHO) in celebrating its 75th anniversary since its establishment in 1948.

To mark the Celebrations
WHO organised a “Walk The Talk” big walk which was lead by Malawi Defence Force band from WHOs country office in area 13 Lilongwe to Ministry of Health headquarters.

In her remarks Minister of Health Hon. Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, MP said this is a time to reflect and look back at our public health successes that have improved quality of life the last seven decades.

She further said the celebration is also an opportunity to motivate action to tackle health challenges in the country.

Joining the walk was Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, MP, the Deputy Minister Of Health Halima Daud, MP, His Lordship the Mayor for Lilongwe City Councillor Richard Banda, World Health Organisation Representative to Malawi, Dr. Neema Kimambo and different stakeholders and senior officials from the Ministry of Health.

The World Health day is being Commemorated under the theme “Health for All”
